Retail Therapy

Ahhhh... retail therapy-It really does solve all the world's problems in an instant. I suddenly felt so much better after leaving Marshall's with these lover-ly coveted items. Usually I leave that place with a whole lotta  nada! It was finally my turn! As you can see, Mama loves color- and pepper in a little pattern and it looks as if Mama's gone crazy. Yes,I agree there's a lot going on here but I'm confident they are all going to work in our new house. We just signed a lease on a home  that I am really excited about- It's very neutral and I that I love. I'm really looking forward to being settled.

I thought while I'm at it- I'd throw in a pic of this little number I bought at a little accessories shop in town recently. It doesn't look very large in the picture but it is actually 19" from top to bottom. The best part is that it was only 25 buckaroos! I really love ginger jars and I'm hoping to use it in a collection on top of an armoire.  I do like to mix in a little of this blue transfer ware .It seems to strike a nice balance with some of my more  modern pieces.

Happy Weekend!!

The Tippi Sweater

That's right people. A sweater named after moi! J Crew, you really shouldn't have. Ok, maybe you didn't. A girl can dream, right?. After further examination of my soft merino wool namesake, I have discovered the Tippi sweater does appeal to me. She comes in lots of yummy colors- I am really liking the citrus lime. Um, shouldn't I get one for free?! J Crew- I'm waiting...

Work In Progress

This client mood board is created for a family of five. The living room is a

retreat of sorts for these parents. The clients already owned some really great

pieces- the existing camel-back sofa was just reupholstered in a chocolate

brown velvet. My objective is to infuse some modern flair into the somewhat

currently traditional feel of the room. This is a really fun project in progress!

I will follow up with pictures once the project is completed.

A Few Favorites

1. Loreal Colour Riche Tawny (845)
* This is a great natural nude color that I have worn for years and can't live without! (I couldn't find a link but should be able to find it at any drug store)

* This is a wonderful perfume line that is meant to be layered but I really love the Cashmere alone. It reminds me of Obsession.( If you live in the Asheville area- you can purchase this at Moda Boutique in Biltmore Park)

*This is such a great product- not heavy and gives your skin a healthy glow!

*I use this as a bronzer

* I promise this is such a great lip gloss- I love it because it is really thick, so a small amount is used and stays on and looks great layered over the lipstick listed above!

Happy Wednesday!!
